Classes

Looking for a dance school in the Hornsby area? With a variety of styles, graded syllabi work, open classes, high energy choreography, exam options and an Eisteddfod Troupe, there is a dance class for everybody at GLM!

Styles & Classes

From toddlers through to children, teens and adults, everyone is welcome at GLM. We offer lessons in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre, and you will love our vibrant and friendly studio, praised for a "non-threatening" and nurturing atmosphere.

Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes are proudly offered in association with Ballet Australasia Limited (BAL), allowing students the choice of optional exams. Hip Hop, Contemporary and Musical Theatre classes follow an exciting open format, allowing for a highly energetic and creative learning environment. Dancers interested in embracing the fun of competition can try out for our Eisteddfod Troupe.

Preschool Dance

Ages 2 - 5 years

Combining music, movement activities, rhythm and dance, our classes for preschoolers offer the perfect foundation before moving into a chosen style of dance. Young boys and girls will build confidence and a love for dance with lots of fun and exploration!

Beginners Ballet, Tap & Jazz

Ages 5 - 6 years

Our beginner classes offer students a holistic introduction to their chosen style of dance following the Beginners BAL grade.

Graded Ballet, Tap & Jazz

Ages 5-16+ (Pre-Primary - Advanced Grades)

Our variety of graded classes follow BAL syllabi, allowing students to grow and enhance their dance skills in their selected style through carefully formulated repertoire of movement.

Contemporary

Junior: 9-12 years
Intermediate: 13-15 years
Senior: 16+ years

Contemporary is an expressive, diverse style of dance that combines elements of a variety of genres including modern jazz, lyrical and classical ballet.

Hip Hop 

Junior: 9-12 years
Intermediate: 13-15 years
Senior: 16+ years

Hip Hop is a street style of dance that incorporates strong and distinctive movements. Often performed to hip hop, urban or RnB music.

Musical Theatre

Junior: 9-15 years
Senior: 16+ years

Musical Theatre develops skills across acting, singing and dancing in a fun and relaxed environment with a dynamic lesson structure.

Performance Troupe

By audition only

Eisteddfod Troupe is a selective class, in which students must receive and invitation or undertake an audition to enrol.

Senior Ballet & Tap

Ages 16+ years

These senior classes follow a fun and dynamic syllabus of dance technique, catering to total beginners through to more experienced older teen and young adult dancers.

Adult Classes

Ages 18+ years

Adult Jazz, Ballet & Tap cater to adult dancers with varying levels of experience.
