Hello!
Meet Miss Maddie
Miss Maddie has been part of the GLM Dance Studio family from the very beginning - first as a dedicated student, and now as a much-loved teacher. With her warm enthusiasm and infectious passion for dance, she inspires students to grow in confidence and skill while having plenty of fun along the way!

Her dance journey began in 2005 at Eileen Phillips Dance Academy, where she first fell in love with jazz before expanding into tap, hip-hop, contemporary, musical theatre, and ballet. Today, Miss Maddie specialises in jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip-hop, and she’s especially excited to be sharing her love for her absolute favourite style - musical theatre!

Since joining the GLM teaching team in 2019, Miss Maddie has been committed to creating a positive and encouraging environment where every student feels welcome. A firm believer that every student can dance and truly belongs, Miss Maddie fosters a learning space where everyone is encouraged to “have a go” and mistakes are embraced as part of the learning process. Strong technique is at the heart of her teaching, but she also nurtures creativity and confidence-building, ensuring that every dancer finds their own joy in movement.
Beyond the studio, Miss Maddie is a Registered Midwife and is currently completing her Masters of Teaching (Primary). A lifelong learner herself, she brings that same passion for growth and discovery into her teaching. When she’s not dancing or studying, you’ll find her at the gym or spending time with her lively collection of pets - three cats, four canaries, and two dogs, including her mischievous Cocker Spaniel, Rascal.
Miss Maddie loves being part of GLM’s welcoming, family-friendly community, where every dancer is valued and celebrated. Her advice to her students? Have fun! Embrace your mistakes, laugh, make friends, and enjoy every moment - because when you’re having fun, it shines through in every step.
